Testimonials

Coleen Sanders is amazing. I know “amazing” is an overused superlative in this day and age, but in this case, it is completely apropos. Our story is thus…

My wife and I moved from Los Angeles last year, assuming - perhaps ignorantly - that renting a nice apartment would be more affordable in Denver vs. Los Angeles. Ummm…epic fail. After a few drinks, we said, “Well, we might as well buy a house.” Easier said than done, because a) houses in Denver disappear off the market before you can scratch your a**, let alone schedule a visit, and b) they are stupid expensive - perhaps artificially so. That’s the worry. So you go on Zillow or Redfin and you swipe and swipe and repeat the same phrase over and over again like Hordor from Game of Thrones, only instead of your own name you’re saying: "I’m paying how much to live where?" It’s all a very confusing and downright terryifying situation, just like the White Walkers. Alas, in walks Coleen Sanders…

Coleen had sold two of my sister's homes, and several of our friends’. Us being transplants, she gave us a tour of the city, and filled us in on specifics of this real estate conundrum. She broke down potential problem areas for our particular needs, from school districts to appropriate square footage to potential remodels and how that would affect each home’s value. She gave us insight on how to view buying a home as an investment, but more importantly, as some place where you will hopefully want to LIVE and be HAPPY. That was our thing - we wanted to find a place where we could grow. But she didn’t just throw out neighborhoods that she thought would be good; she instead took us on several trips to various neighborhoods around the city. This meant hours and hours of her taxiing us around, which has to be an annoying endeavor, but she was just smiling and happy and wonderful the entire time. Part of me thinks we kept asking her to take us on those trips because she was so pleasant, but that would be weird. Anyway…

We found our home. And it was one of those moments. Colleen is now essentially a part of our family, and the next time we want to buy a house, or are looking for a good tour guide, she is going to be the first person we call. #blessed
